Prep Notes

Making iced coffee four ways has saved me time from going to the coffee shop, money, and I can make it exactly the way I like it. I hope one of these iced coffee recipes works for you. If you can have dairy, feel free to use your dairy of choice.

Yields

1

Ingredients

    Dirty Chai:
  • 8oz. strong brewed coffee
  • 4 oz. strong brewed spicy chai tea
  • 1-2 teaspoons honey
  • 1-2 tablespoons of coconut cream (or dairy-free milk of choice, dairy works too)
  • optional: pinch of cinnamon on top

  • Traditional:
  • 8-12oz. strong brewed coffee
  • 1-2 teaspoons coconut sugar
  • 1-2 tablespoons of coconut cream (or dairy-free milk of choice, dairy works too)

  • Salted Caramel:
  • 8-12oz. strong brewed coffee
  • 1/2 teaspoon gluten-free vanilla extract
  • 1-2 teaspoons coconut sugar
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1-2 tablespoons of coconut cream (or dairy-free milk of choice, dairy works too)
  • optional: drizzle dairy-free caramel inside the glass before pouring the coffee in

  • Mocha:
  • 8-12oz. strong brewed coffee (16 oz)
  • 1/2 teaspoon gluten-free vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons dairy-free chocolate syrup (Ahh!!laska Organic - 1 T)
  • 1-2 tablespoons of coconut cream (or milk of choice) (1/4 cup coconut milk)
  • optional: drizzle dairy-free chocolate sauce inside the glass before pouring the coffee in (Nixed - added in 1 T coconut oil)

Feel free to blend any of the recipes.  I make mine the night before...blended to really soak in the ingredients.  Then add ice (sometimes frozen raspberries or blueberries) in the am and blend again.

Directions

  1. For each iced coffee flavor, pour warm or hot coffee into a tall glass or jar.
  2. Add remaining ingredients (except the dairy-free milk).
  3. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use (up to 4 days).
  4. Pour over ice.
  5. Pour in coconut milk (or dairy, or dairy milk of choice).
  6. Enjoy!

Notes

True ketoers can play with the recipe to make them less carbs.  I put my notes in italic parentheses to describe how I changed it up :)
