Yes, pumpkins do contain natural sugars, but they’re also full of Vitamins A and C as well as an excellent source of potassium. This smoothie can be a favorite post-workout recovery drink. It’s the perfect way to sneak more greens into your diet while the cashews provide a source of healthy fats, also aiding the absorption of all the nutrients in the greens in addition to providing a bit of protein.




  • 1 cup fresh kale, destemmed and chopped
  • ¾ cup pumpkin puree
  • ½ cup full-fat coconut milk
  • ¼ cup raw cashews
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • ½-inch piece fresh ginger (optional)
  • pinch of ground nutmeg
  • 6 ice cubes


  1. Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Enjoy immediately.
